Water rose 2 feet in 2 hours about 12:30 at Jordan's Point from rain in Alleghany and Bath County. The river overflowed its bank at the pole houses on Furrs Mill Road and the road was was covered toward Beans Bottom. The recent memorial to Charles Volpe and the bench along the bank of the river at Jordan's Point were completely underwater.
