Main Street in Lexington was filled with people eating, listening to music, selling, buying and just browsing on Saturday, August 28th. With a rainout last year, it seemed that people were in the mood this year and vendors and organizations all reported that they did well. New this year was italian ice for which there was a long line. The coolest spot in town was the RACC cooling station with fan sprayed water mist enjoyed by everyone passing by. Water was also available for free and an airconditioned "theater" with conservation programs where you could sit for a bit and cool off.. People showed up at 9:30 a.m. before the festival even started and were still looking and buying at 4:00 pm when it came time to break down. Within two hours you couldn't tell that there had been a festival with everyone pitching in to help clean up the street.
