Jean-Claude Maurice Racinet, 79, of Lexington, died Saturday, April 25, 2009.
He was born June 2, 1929 in France, a son of the late Arthur Joseph Racinet and Marie Baptistine Astier Racinet.
Surviving are his wife, Susan M. Rozell-Racinet; four daughters: Marie-Gabrielle and Genevieve of France, Sarah and Amy of South Carolina; one son, Jean-Francois of Lexington; five grandchildren and one on the way.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Pen Merryl Farm in Greenville, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jean-Francois Racinet.
The family will receive friends at the home.
Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
