    Obituary for Emma Josephine Bane Hostetter Emma Josephine Bane Hostetter
    Lexington Resident Dies At Age 89

    Emma Josephine Bane Hostetter, 89, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Golden Living Center.

    Born March 7, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Roger Bane and Josephine Drain Bane.

    Emma is also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Hostetter; and a son, Carl Junior Hostetter.

    She is survived by her children: Patsy H. Link of Buchanan; and Thomas E. Hostetter of Lexington; three grandchildren: Carl "Bucky" Hostetter, Michael A. Hostetter, and Randy W. Hostetter; nine great grandchildren: John, Jason, Matthew, Amanda, Brent, Destini, Ashley, Kari and a special great grandson, Chad, who cannot be here due to military service; three great great grandchildren: Caleb, Makinlee and Danielle; a sister, Sue Hedpadge of Hopewell and a special daughter-in-law, Shirley Hostetter of Lexington.

    Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Short officiating. There will be no visitation.

    Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
