    Obituary for Leona Alderman Hoke Leona Alderman Hoke
    Homemaker Was West Virginia Native

    Leona Alderman Hoke, 88, died Wednesday evening, September 30, 2009 at The Woodlands in Clifton Forge, Virginia.

    Mrs. Hoke had formerly made her home with her daughter, Bonnie at 609 Kanawha Trail, Covington.

    She was born August 8, 1921 in Huntersville, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Ira D. and Rudema Smith Alderson.

    Mrs. Hoke was a homemaker and was a member of the Wildmeadow Baptist Church in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.

    In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hoke was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Hoke in 2002 and also by two son, Billy Ray Hoke and Vincent Hoke; two brothers and one sister.

    Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Bonnie and Bobby Hepler of Sweet Chalybeate and Phyllis Yancey of Clifton Forge; one son and daughter-in-law, Preston and Martha Hoke of Roanoke; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

    The funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel.

    The interment will follow in Hoke Chapel Cemetery.

    Friends may pay their respects anytime at Arritt Funeral Home, Covington.

    The family will receive their friends Friday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
