Debra Lee (Debbie) Via, age 56, of 9803 Rich Patch Road, Low Moor, died Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor.

She was born on October 21, 1952 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Harry Randolph Via, Sr. and Dorothy Downey Via.

She was a retired cook, having worked in Oklahoma and later at The Homestead.

She loved playing softball and was a member of Low Moor Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Randolph "Pete" Via, Jr. and a sister, Merle Via Sivic.

She is survived by a brother, James "Frankie" Via and wife, Lu of Auburndale, FL; a number of cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friend,Charlene Fridley.

A memorial service was held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Low Moor Presbyterian Church with Reverend Lisa Marshall officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, handled the arrangements.
