    Obituary for Thomas Wayne Rogers Thomas Wayne Rogers
    Buena Vista Baptist Church Member Dies At Age 58

    Thomas Wayne Rogers, 58, of Buena Vista, died Friday, September 30, 2009.

    Born July 24, 1951 in Lexington, he was the son of the late Jack A. Rogers and Masie Clark Rogers.

    He was preceded in death by his daughter Whitney Rogers; two brothers, Marshall Rogers and wife, Nancy, and Jack Rogers, Jr.

    Thomas is survived by his wife, Brenda Rogers; two sons, Travis Rogers and wife, Heather of Buena Vista; Bill Southers and wife, Kari of Fort Hood, TX; two sisters, Hilda Campbell of Buena Vista; Pauline Smith of Lexington; five grandchildren, Rebecca, Callie, Lindsey, Landon, Willow; and eight nieces.

    He was a member of the Buena Vista Baptist Church, former member of the Glasgow Moose Lodge and a member of the Ol Skool Kruzers Loud & Proud Car Club in Buena Vista.

    Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Christ Episcopal Church. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Soldiers Foundation.

    Arrangements are being handled by Bolling Grose and Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
