    Obituary for Terry Stanley Bland Terry Stanley Bland
    Worked At Pinehurst Motel For Many Years

    Terry Stanley Bland, 55, of 530 E. Kline Street, Covington, Virginia, died Saturday October 10, 2009 at her residence.

    She was born December 10, 1954 in Clifton Forge, the daughter of the late Garnett Nicely and Onva Louise Burger Stanley.

    She was employed at Pinehurst Motel for many years until her heath began to fail.

    She was a avid Green Bay Packers fan. Many Sundays were spent watching Nascar racing and her all time favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt. Terry enjoyed spending time with family and loved her grandchildren.

    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Stanley and a daughter, Karen Rider.

    Terry is survived by her children, Scottie Rider and Tracy Rider, both of Covington; one sister, Jackie Windsor and her fiance, Tyrone Brown of Eagle Rock; four brothers, Bobby Stanley and his wife, Patricia of Clifton Forge; Ronnie Stanley and his wife, Ann of Buchanan; Johnny Stanley of Grundy and Frank Stanley and his wife, Robin of Buchanan; one brother in law, James Lawhorn; five grandchildren, Karen Mundy; Cheyenne Mundy; Logan Scott Mundy; Helen Kay; Elizabeth Love and Vernon Love, Jr.; and a number of nieces, nephews and special friends, Lynn Rider, Steve Bland and Jennifer Mundy and Lonnie Rider, all of Covington.

    The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the graveside in Alleghany Memorial Park.

    Active pallbearers will be Charlie Wright, Lonnie Rider, Charlie Cook, Lorenzo Hawthorn, Chad Graham, Robbie Griffin and Cheese Smith.

    Friends may pay their respects at the Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.
