Susie Virginia Dudley, 81, of Lexington, died Sunday October 25, 2009 at the Carrington Place of Botetourt.

Born September 15, 1928 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late William Henry Toman and Alice Strickler Toman.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dudley was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Donald Dudley.

Mrs. Dudley was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Rockbridge Baths.

Surviving are one son, Glenn Edward Dudley and wife, Andrea of Roanoke; one sister, Bertie Mae Potter of Raphine; one brother, Robert B. Toman of Rockbridge Baths; one grandson, Richard Dudley; one granddaughter, Katie Dudley; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. William Beardon officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory, Lexington.
