    Obituary for Clarence William Coward, Sr. Army Air Corps Veteran Was Tennessee Native
    Retired Trainmaster Was World War II Veteran

    Clarence William Coward, Sr., 83, of Marietta, GA, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009.

    Born May 20, 1926 in Tennessee, he was the son of the late Robert Raymond Coward and Maude Rowland Coward.

    Mr. Coward had served in the US Army Air Corps.

    Clarence was preceded in death by a son, Clarence Coward, Jr. and a sister, Christine.

    Mr. Coward is survived by his wife, Helen McGowan Coward; one son, Carl McGowan and wife, Betty of Buena Vista; one daughter, Darlene Coward of Marietta, GA; one sister, Nana Lou McLemore of Oakridge, TN, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Bolling, Grose, and Lotts Chapel with Pastor Monroe Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

    Arrangements are being handled by the Bolling Grose and Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
