Brenda Mae Sanders, 66, of Lexington died October 31, 2009.

She was born July 17, 1943 in Alexandria, a daughter of the late Thorald Ceawell Hollingsworth, Sr. and Lillian Simpson Hollingsworth.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kevin and a sister, Vivian.

Ms. Sanders was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are special friends, Debbie and Nicky Keen, the Gilbert family, June Patterson and the many children's lives she touched.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in Stonewall Jackson Cemetery with Rev. Jason M. Grimes officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 1742 E. Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23228.

Arrangements are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory, Lexington, VA.
