John William "Buttons" Cash, Jr., 61, of Glasgow, died Sunday, November 1, 2009 in Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born December 11, 1947, he was a son of the late John William Cash, Sr. and Elizabeth Cash.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Hill.

Surviving are his wife, Alice Ayers Cash; two children, Jennifer Nicole Cash Blankenship of West Virginia and Scott Nelson Clark and wife, Dinah of Churchville; special friends and golfing buddies, Ronnie Wines and Gene Wallace.

Mr. Cash was employed in maintenance with Georgia-Pacific for over 40 years.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Glasgow Rescue and Fire Dept., Powhatan St., Glasgow, VA 24555. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
