Marion (Ralph) Hill, age 88, of The Golden Living Center Nursing Home, Clifton Forge, and formerly of Palace Blvd, Clifton Forge, died Saturday, October 31, 2009 at The Golden Living Center.
He was born June 8, 1921 in Roanoke, Virginia, a son of the late John and Mary Florence Eckerly Hill.
He was a retired lab analyst for Hercules, Inc. of Covington and worked at the former Industrial Rayon of Covington.
He was of the Presbyterian Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Lyle Hatter Hill in 2005; a sister, Margaret Wolfe; and three brothers, Clyde Hill, Morris Hill, and Lewis Hill.
He is survived by three sisters-in-law, Elise Wright of Clifton Forge, Phyllis Crawford of Covington, and Leah Rider of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service was held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor with Reverend Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment followed. There was no formal visitation. However, friends may call any time at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, Virginia.
