Julia Ellen McCrory Goodman, 93, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in the Augusta Health Center.

Born June 8, 1916 in Midvale, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Charles Wildy McCrory and Cora Julia Beard McCrory.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Curtis Goodman.

Mrs. Goodman was a member of Fairfield Garden Club and was a member of Timber Ridge Old Stone Presbyterian Church, where she was very active in church functions.

Surviving are two sons, Charles William Goodman of Palmyra, VA and Robert Curtis Goodman of Timberville, VA; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Timber Ridge ARP Cemetery with Rev. Carl Moore officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
