Rachel Beatrice Floyd, 76, of Buena Vista, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in Golden Living Center.

Born May 29, 1933 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew P. and Macy Southers Floyd.

Surviving are a sister, Nellie F. Thompson and husband, Walter of Glasgow; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009 in Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. Ben Sanders officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
