Henry Hinkle Lotts, 92, of 42 North Side Drive, Waynesboro, Virginia, passed away Tuesday evening, November 17, 2009 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Born January 13, 1917 in Rockbridge County, he was the son of the late Bill Lotts and Nellie Benson Lotts Dunaway.
He was a veteran of the 214th Coast Artillery of the United States Army, a member of White Hill Church of the Brethren and was retired from the former E. I. DuPont Co. of Waynesboro after 33 years of service.
In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Edith Campbell Lotts; a daughter, Patty Sue Lotts; his step-father, Frazier Dunaway; three step-sisters, Fern Clemmer, Ruby Arnold, Mary Pultz; step-brother, Hunter Dunaway; half-sister, Dorothy Dunaway; and a half-brother, Elmer Dunaway.
Survivors include a son, Mark E. Lotts and his wife, Rosanna of Stuarts Draft; a sister, Clara Brown of Lexington; two grandchildren, Mark E. Lotts, ll, and Holly Ann Lotts.
A graveside service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at White Hill Church of the Brethren by Matthew Hoy and Rev. Jim Chappell.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
