James Lee "Jimmy" Armentrout, 60, of Natural Bridge, died Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at his home.

He was born September 13, 1947 in Rockbridge County, a son of Lee Hobson and Audrey Pruett Armentrout of Natural Bridge.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Armentrout.

He was a life member of High Bridge Presbyterian Church, where he was currently Chairman of the Board of Deacons. Mr. Armentrout was a member of NRA and North Amercian Hunt Club.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Melissa P. Armentrout; children, Ronda A. Moseley and husband, Frank, Buchanan, Charles C. Armentrout, New Orleans, and Amy L. Armentrout, Natural Bridge; one grandson, Coleman T. Armentrout; three sisters, Violet Vest and husband, Sam, Carol Tolley and husband, David, and Connie Powell and husband, Roy, all of Natural Bridge; sister-in-law, Alecia Armentrout; numerous nieces and nephews; and a lifelong friend and blood brother, Wayne Duff.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2007 at High Bridge Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Louis Skidmore, Rev. Glenn Coleman, and Rev. Ronald Buckalew officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
