Rasoul Becomes One Of The Youngest Congressional Candidates In Nation   Roanoke, VA - Sam Rasoul became the official nominee of the Democratic Party for the 6th Congressional District yesterday, Saturday May 24th. Rasoul, 26, is one of the youngest congressional candidates in history. "I am young, but that gives me a unique perspective for this job," Rasoul stated. "It is my future that is at stake here. I am not just working hard for the next generation, but I also have the chance to personally change my own future." Rasoul has many youthful volunteers and supporters of all ages. "We are using our youth and energy to get our message out there," Rasoul added. "We are confident that we have what it takes to carry us through to victory in November." Rasoul is a small business owner raised and educated in the 6th district of Virginia. He has been competing for a spot to challenge the Republican incumbent in the November 4th election for over a year. "This nation is ready for a change," Rasoul continued. "I believe we should be focusing on action: beginning with ending government corruption, working for the forgotten middle class and fighting for common good initiatives we can all agree upon." Rasoul is the first Democratic challenger to receive district-wide support since 1992.
