Lexington Valley Vineyard owners Cal and Janet Hale celebrate their first full season as a licensed Virginia Farm Winery on Friday, May 27th. The new family owned and operated Rockbridge Winery produces handcrafted wines from French-American hybrid varietals including Norton grapes, founded by Thomas Jefferson at Monticello. The winery is located off of Turkey Hill Road on Norton Way in Rockbridge Baths and is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. This season Lexington Valley Vineyard is offering a "Wine and Wags" event on the first Friday of the month, May through October. Come celebrate Friday with unique Virginia wines and your furry friends! You are invited to stroll the vineyards with your pet. Bring a picnic lunch or purchase snack baskets. Water and biscuits for Fido. Join other dog lovers for a waggingly good time. For information call 540-462-2974 or go to their website at lexingtonvalleyvineyard.com.
