Bates-Samani Engagement Told

David and Roma Bates of Buena Vista, Virginia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Erin Bates, to Farid Javidan Samani, the son of Badiollah Javidan Samani and Mandana Arib (Javidan) of Esfehan, Iran.
Elizabeth graduated from Parry McCluer High School in 2006 and Dabney S. Lancaster in 2007 with an Associate Degree in General Education. She is currently a Music Education Major with a Spanish Minor at Shenandoah University’s Conservatory.
Farid graduated from the Esfehan Music Conservatory in 1999. He then attended the Music School of Baha’i University and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Piano Performance in 2002. Farid is currently a senior in Shenandoah University’s Conservatory and is studying Musical Composition with a minor in Piano Performance.
A May 2009 wedding is planned in Rockbridge County.
