Lewis Reunion Celebrated

 
Three generations of descendants of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Lewis of the Riverside area of Rockbridge County celebrated a family reunion over the July 11 weekend at the Timber Ridge home of Preston and Blair Williams. Mrs. Williams is a Lewis great grand-daughter, and reunion attendance included 41 family members over the two-day period.

     Traveling the greatest distances were Mr. and Mrs. John Payne Lewis of Pine Island, Fla., their daughter Sheri Lewis and her husband Darrell Lindstrom, of Sarasota, Fla., and Mrs. Lynda Lewis DiStefano of Chandler, Ariz. The largest out-of-state group came from Maryland and included Mrs. Helen Gibson Gunter and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gunter, all of Towson; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Martin with children Cara and John Patrick, of Freeland; Bart W. Lewis of Point of Rocks; Mrs. Eryn Lewis Pawlik and daughter Kaitlyn, of Frederick; and Bart W. Lewis, Jr., and guest of Hagerstown, Maryland.

     Others from out-of-state included Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gunter, Jr., with their daughter Amy and guest, all of Raleigh, N.D., and Patrick Gibson and daughter Remie, of Runnemede, N.J.

     Virginians in the reunion group included Mrs. June Gibson Trader of Lake Ridge; Ronald G. Trader of Springfield; David A. Trader, Reston; and area family members Mr. and Mrs. Marshall H. Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Larry L. Coffey, Mr. and Mrs. Brandon H. Coffey, and Henry P. Lewis, Jr., all of Buena Vista; and Mrs. Harry V. Lewis, Jr., Mr and Mrs. Gary V. Lewis, Miss Laura Lewis, Mrs. Julia S. Martin, Maury L. Williams, and hosts Blair and Preston Williams, plus several special friends, all of Lexington.
