Stargazing, Telescope Courses Offered at Greenfield Center

| A six-week observational astronomy course, “Stargazing for the Curious Skywatcher”, will be offered at the Greenfield Education and Training Center in Daleville during this fall on Thursdays, September 24 – October 29, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The instructor is John Goss, an amateur astronomer who writes an astronomy column for the Roanoke Times. The course sponsored by Dabney S. Lancaster Community College’s non-credit program.
Participants will learn to see lunar craters, planets and their moons, constellations and clusters, nebulae and distant galaxies. Tuition is $85, and additional costs will include the textbook and planisphere, which may be purchased the first night of class; a telescope is not needed.
