Glasgow Horseshoe Tournament Winners Announced   The Southeast Rockbridge Recreation and Parks Development Association proudly announces the winners of the Glasgow Horseshoe Tournament held on Saturday, September 12th, at the Glasgow Horseshoe pits. The blind draw team of Chubby Hamilton and Hollywood Spinner both of Big Island, VA were declared champions, with J.R. Moore of Arnold's Valley and Thomas Hamilton of Big Island coming in a close second. Twenty two players participated: Mike Goff, Wendy Duke, Thomas Hamilton, Dustin Yopp, Marshall Branham, Richard Spangler, Ray Staton, Shorty Berkstresser and Peanut Floyd, all of Glasgow; Anthony Ayers, Jobie Coleman, Randy Redcross, Don Potter, Jason Vassar and Michael Ayers, all of Buena Vista; Chubby Hamilton and Hollywood Spinner of Big Island; Joey Vencill of Collierstown; Nicole Smith of Salem; J.R. Moore of Arnold's Valley; Travis Montgomery of Natural Bridge; and Curtis Moore of Lexington. The next tournament will be held on Saturday, October 24th, at the same location in Glasgow, with open registration (adults age 18+) from 9-10 AM. Blind draw for teams begins promptly at 10 AM, late comers will not be included. This is an alcohol-free event.
