UPDATED: Lexington Man Dies In Truck Accident

State Police sources said that 24 year-old Nathan Ray Hartless of Lexington was killed on Monday, October 26, 2009 after the 2007 Isuzu in which he was a passenger apparently careened off Rte. 39 in neighboring Bath County and struck several trees.

The accident occurred at about 11 a.m. and Hartless died at the scene. State Police indicated that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the truck was identified as Joseph Vencill. The Isuzu was heading westbound near Rte. 630 at the time of the accident. The pair, Spencer Home Center employees, were apparently making a delivery at the time of the accident.

(Editor's note: Mr. Hartless is the son of Mary Woodson of Fairfield and Eugene Hartless of Lexington. The Harrison Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.)
