Effinger Wins Awesome Autumn Awareness Team Trophy Annual County School Employee Health Fair Held On October 23rd. By Patte Wood Staff Reporter   The Rockbridge County Public School District held their 5th annual Employee Health Fair on Friday October 23rd at Maury River Middle School. With an emphasis on helping employees to get fit, the Awesome Autumn Awareness event included a mile walk/run and this year 131 employees participated. Effinger again came home with the first place team trophy: Schools finished as follows: 1st Place     Effinger Elementary     94% 2nd Place     Central Elementary     87% 3rd Place     COW, Maintenance, and Transportation 76% 4th Place     Mt. View Elementary     39% 5th Place     Rockbridge Middle     32% 6th Place     Maury River Middle     30% 7th Place     Natural Bridge Elem.     27% 8th Place     Fairfield Elementary     12% 9th Place     RCHS               1% Winners of the Door Prizes were: Flu Survival Kits: Danielle Burton - RCHS, Deb Jarrett - RCHS, Donna Potter - EES Winner of the BB&T Insurance Anthem Leather Bag - Ashley Rhodenizer - COW Winner of the Virginia Retirement Specialist TV - Robin Tolley - FES Thanks to Suntrust, Curves and to Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital for the goodie bags that contained sunglasses, nutrition information, koozie, ink pens and the white towels and bottled water for the Mile walk/run.
