Letter: Thanks To All The Zombies...
|
| Dear Editor, Rockbridge Weekly:
We would like to express our appriciation to all the volunteer "zombies" who scared the folks in the woods this year at our Hallowscream event at Natural Bridge. With their assistance, we raised 1365 cans of food for the Lexington Food Pantry.
The volunteer legions of the living dead included members of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Buena Vista, folks from Southern Virginia University, Haunters from the Haunted Forest in Crimora, employees of Natural Bridge, some local folk, and drama students from Parry McCluer.
Thanks also goes to the Werewolf (for all we know he was real) who showed up on Halloween night. We're not sure who he was, but he sure he scared a lot of people.
We'd also like to thank all those who paticipated in the program and donated the food. Thanks for all your efforts. Because of you, many area folks will have something to put on their plates.
