2009 Lexington Christmas Parade Theme Sights and Sounds Of The Season
|
| The Lexington Christmas Parade theme this year is “Sights and Sounds of the Season” and will take place on Saturday, December 5, at 5:30 pm. The Parade Committee and Chamber of Commerce would like to invite all members of the community to be a part of this year’s parade and help put smiles on hundreds of faces this holiday season.
Applications for parade entries can be downloaded from the Lexington downtown website or can be picked up from the Chamber office at 100 East Washington Street in Lexington. All applications must be turned in to the Chamber office before November 13th.
Make sure you bring your camera to the parade because there will be a special appearance from Santa Clause in Hopkins Green and all boys and girls can have their pictures taken with Jolly Old St. Nicholas, but beware you may run upon the Grinch instead.
Also, stop at Grand Home Furnishings and read the Letters to Santa written by local school children, it’s enough to melt even the Grinch’s cold heart.
For more information about the parade please contact Lisa Markham at the Chamber of Commerce at lisa@lexrockchamber.com or by phone at (540) 463-5375.
