Computer, Digital Camera Courses Offered At RRC This Spring

| “How to Use Your Digital Camera” Scheduled at RRC Jan. 28
A one-night class, “How to Use Your Digital Camera”, will be held Thursday, January 28, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. in Room 910, at the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Rockbridge Regional Center in Buena Vista. Chuck Almarez is the instructor and tuition is $25.
Topics will include camera pre-sets, exposure, white balance, camera “shake”, and how to select correct shooting modes. Participants should bring their camera and owner’s manual to class. Almarez will be teaching the same class on the DSLCC main campus in Clifton Forge on Tuesday, January 26.

Beginning Computer Courses Offered by DSLCC
Three beginning computer courses are being offered during the Spring 2010 semester through the non-credit program at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College’s Rockbridge Regional Center in Buena Vista. Ed Mays is the instructor; all of the courses will be held on Tuesday evenings in Room 907.
“Computers for the Absolute Beginner”, an eight-week for anyone who has no computer experience, will be held January 19 – March 9 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
“Introduction to Computers I”, a four-week course for anyone who has a little experience with computers and wants to learn some software applications, is scheduled January 19 – February 9,from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m.
“Introduction to Computers II” is a follow-up to Intro I and includes an introduction to Excel and PowerPoint. It will be held February 16- March 9, from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m.
