Lexington Resident Sarah Melvin Graduates From Sweet Briar College

SWEET BRIAR, Va. (June 2011) - Sarah Reeves Melvin, daughter of Trudy and Jay Melvin of Lexington, was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in sociology with a minor in anthropology at the 102nd commencement ceremony of Sweet Briar College.
While at Sweet Briar, Melvin served in the Student Government Association and was her senior class vice president. She also was vice president of a community service organization and was president of the Transfer Student Association.
